Building A Master Bath

Revealing An Attic Treasure

Hard to believe, but this one was carved out of a second-story space that originally contained only an old bathtub, small vanity and toilet.  The project began with closing off the exterior window to make room for the large bureau-style vanity and mirror.  The old claw-foot tub was replaced with a beautiful Jacuzzi tub.  The toilet was relocated around the corner just out of sight from the bedroom doorway.  While white subway tile and bead board are popular retro-style materials today, here they work well to enhance a beautiful master bath design while maintaining the rich character of this older home.
